White Trash Debutantes
Added: May 14, 2009
The WHITE TRASH DEBUTANTES first debuted at San Francisco's COVERED WAGON SALOON on October 18.1989 for a Birthday Party for PUNK GLOBE Editor and Debutante GINGER COYOTE. Soon JOEY RAMONE invited them to partake in his "Circus Of the Perverse" party in New York City playing with the likes of DEBBIE HARRY, BEBE BUELL, RONNIE SPECTOR, LEMMY (MOTORHEAD) and THE RAMONES.
You may not know why you've heard of the White Trash Debutantes, but you know them. You could have seen them playing with such notables as The Ramones, L7, Green Day, Lunachicks, Rancid, Blondie, The Offspring, Other Star People, Zeke, The Donnas, and Shonen Knife. Or you could have seen them on one of their tours of the United States, Japan, Canada or Mexico. Maybe you heard about their invitation to fallen Olympic Skater Tonya Harding to join the band. Or you might have heard about one former member of the band - "The World's Oldest Punk Rocker" - 84 year young Punk Rock Patty Pierce. Or perhaps you have seen the band featured on such hit television shows as "Raw Talent," "The Jerry Springer Show," "E Gossip," "MTV News In Rock," "Conan O'Brien," "Bruce Lattimer Show" and Jim Luccio's, "Tonya And Me". But, like it or not, you have heard of the band once described as a "Prom Night Gone Bad" - The White Trash Debutantes
